One Mega Millions Ticket Wins Estimated $23 Million Jackpot
MEGA MILLIONS, June 28 /PRNewswire/ — Mega Millions is on a hot streak. For the third time this month, the game has produced another jackpot winner! One ticket in the Tuesday, June 27, 2006 drawing matched all six numbers to win the estimated $23 million jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased in Genoa, Ohio.
The jackpot winner is one of 330,448 tickets that won prizes in Tuesday’s drawing. That includes three tickets that came within just one number of hitting the jackpot. Each of these tickets missed only the Mega Ball number. The tickets were sold in California, Maryland and Michigan.
Tuesday’s winning Mega Millions numbers were 02-14-20-29-44 and the Mega Ball number was 32.
Pari-mutuel prizes means that prize amounts vary with the number of tickets sold and the number of winning tickets in each prize category.
The jackpot for the Friday, June 30, 2006 Mega Millions drawing is $12 million.
Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
